• Published in 2002, it is alsoa workbook where you go through the different exercises over a period of 12 weeks or three months. I did all the exercises, including the morning pages. It shifted me as a person as well as helped me acknowledge the creative side of who I am. It’s really freed out some of my inner wounds and also helped me to feel much more liberated and be more creative in my personal and professional life.
  
  I recommend this book to all people, even those who don’t think that they’re creative because really, when we allow our inner child to come out and play, we have much more joy in our lives and this will allow us to be creative in other areas in our personal and professional life.
  
  Whatever job that you are in, you may think it does not involve creativity. You’ll be wrong. There are elements of creativity in everything that we do. Be a fuller person so that you are just much more integrated with all that you are so that you reach your fullest potential.
• The edition is an excellent choice for using the Artists's Way workbook. Previously I had bought the print spiral bound edition, hoping to use it but I never did, because I did not want to fill in the pages of the print book, so as to save the print book for re-use or to sell later. However, in the edition, I am able to go on to my PC and copy and paste the assignments and tasks into my own Word documents, making my own book in effect to use and re-use and type in the assignments in the actual pages. To me it is well worth the extra cost to have the edition workbook to avoid typing in the assignments..
• I loved it! I decided to actually follow the guidelines for the book - one chapter a week, doing the written exercises, the morning pages, the artist day..and I stuck to it. That is not usual for me, but I decided to give it a try..and it worked! I still do not go to my studio as often as I should and I am still not as disciplined as I should be..but it doesn't bother me as much and I keep to the thought that this should be fun...and I have more fun! The side effect that I had completely not anticipated at all, was that I lost 25 pounds over the 16 weeks (16 chapters) and I wasn't even trying. Doing the written exercises, thinking through the material, remembering things, and writing morning pages, reduced anxiety and stress and I guess I just ate less. That made me feel good, and good feelings kept building, so, I really recommend this book to anyone who wants to try a 16week course to reexamine your life journey and pursue a more creative life ahead. I have now bought this book for so many friends..but it really doesn't do the magic unless you put the time into it. So, if you buy it, agree to all the exercises, or it is just another self-help book that will not sink in. Good luck!
• This book is very engaging with a variety of activities. However I also purchased the 25th anniversary Edition and there is too much redundancy to warrant purchasing both.
• This is a journey. A journey of a lifetime. If you are so fortunate to open this book and workbook; your life could not ever be the same . The book took away the pain of no decisions, bad decisions and decisions made for me. I did and you may discover the creative person you are and were meant to be. Nothing is the same, for me I have broken chains that bound me to labor. I have re constructed who I am. Please get these 2 items and join me in a life worth living that can never be stolen or lost again.
• I bought this as a gift and haven't heard how she liked it. I loved it, as did my niece when i gave it to her a few years ago. However, although I expected the anniversary edition to be especially nice it actually wasn't as nice as the original and I regretted choosing it.
• Some people may not like this workbook because it's lined pages with quotes. That's it. But, for me, it's very helpful as a way to get me to actually do it. There are exactly 3 pages for each day of the 12 week program. If you don't fill the 3-pages, then you're behind. For me, this is helpful in motivating me to get up early and fill in the 3 pages. Plus, the quotes make writing more meaningful.
• Even though it’s a bit too spiritual for me, honestly I almost quit on the book after reading the intro. and I was really rather skeptical about how this book would help me. It sounded a bit corny like self help book for artist. Like chicken soap for the artist soul.
  
  But getting past that and actually getting into doing the assignments and homework the book ask that you do week after week. I found the book was really helpful. I guess its like anything else where you get what you put in out of it and it’s different for everyone.
  
  I read somewhere that this book might have come out too soon for its own good. I think that if had added what we know today about neurology and how the brain works, instead of the spiritual stuff it would have been better off.
  
  I have recommended this book to others (artist friends) and have had moments where I felt I needed to reread a curtain part or do a curtain writing task again. Underneath the things that turned me off, there really are some priceless gems within the pages. And if you make it too the end of the 12 weeks you’ll be glad you did.
  
  But depending on who you are and how many issues you might have (rough childhood, stuff thats happen to you in the past) I recommend this book with a bit a caution. This book causes you to face a lot of things. So just be ready for that.

• Actually, I'm giving this book 4 1/2 stars. One thing I learned from this book is that paleontologists are party animals. Steve Brusatte, one of the top young dinosaur hunters in the world, has written a marvelous book that is part autobiography, part natural history, and part fossil hunting how-to. During the autobiographical parts, he gives us some humorous descriptions of how fossil hunters relax after a day in the rubble. Spoiler alert Alcohol is consumed. Another thing I liked about this book is the further you read, the better the book gets. When I was about halfway through it, I wished he would tell readers a story of dinosaur encounters told by the fossils in a certain place—and darned if he didn’t do exactly that! And of course, like in plays and works of fiction, this book has a climax the impact of the Chicxulub asteroid that ended the Cretaceous Era and the Age of Dinosaurs. But it also has a denouement, a tying together of all loose ends the dinosaurs are still with us in the form of birds. My only criticism of the book is that in the early parts there are mentions of dozens and dozens of dinosaur species that do not have illustrations, so the book drags a little, but Brusatte picks up the pace and the story becomes fascinating. This is the best dinosaur book I’ve ever read; it’s even better than Walter Alvarez’s T. rex and the Crater of Doom (1997).
• I browsed the reviews before I bought the book and was very amused by the one-star reviewers who groused about Dr. Brusatte's writing style. Apparently they think dinosaur books should be fusty tomes written in the finest Dense Academicby human dinosaurs and they were irked not to find that stuff in this book. Well, no. And that's the best thing about The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs.
  
  Dr. Brusatte clearly loves what he's doing. And he has fun doing it. And he wants to share the joy with the world. He has a bright, engaging style and he can tell a story like nobody's business. Just wait till you get to the tale of the breakup of Pangaea, or the day the asteroid hit. You won't find a better, more vivid account anywhere.
  
  I originally checked the book out of the library but it was soon clear I'd have to buy my own copy. If you care anything at all about dinosaurs, get this book. Encourage Steve Brusatte to write more!
• I am a professor of geology who occasionally teaches about dinosaurs, and this book is a great resource for anyone interested in dinosaurs but intimidated by the complexities of paleontology and geology. The book is detail-packed without being overwhelming for the non-obsessive dinosaur enthusiast, and Brusatte's narrative style really guides the reader through the landscapes of the Mesozoic while providing personal details that help the reader buy into the excitement of the science. This book is a valuable addition to the growing canon of enjoyable scientific non-fiction.
• Dr. Brusatte has written a wonderful book, easy to read and very informative. It's the story of the origin and demise of the most intriguing class of animals the world has ever seen. He tells of how at the end of the Permian Period around 250 million years ago, the beginning of the Triassic, the small, nearly insignificant dinosauromorphs began to evolve into what we now call dinosaurs. They were to rule the animal world for the next 150 million years. Dr. Brusatte includes descriptions of paleo sites he visited in Europe, China, South America, Africa and North America, meeting with local Paleontologists, discovering clues to the growth and diversity of the dinosaurs. A number of sections reveal details of the most famous dinosaurs of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods plus those that evolved into today's birds. And finally, the sudden death of all the dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous Period 66 million years ago - except their evolved offspring... birds.
  If you thought you knew all about dinosaurs, you will learn much more in his book.
• I can only give this 3 stars. It is readable, almost too chatty. It goes through the dinosaur era, but too much of the book is dedicated to thumbnail sketches of other paleontologists -- all of whom see to be Brusatte's best friends now. It gets tiresome. I liked the descriptions of how they find the bones and dig them up. I also like the descriptions of how the various species changed over the years, and differed once the super-continent Pangea broke up into separate land masses. But too many times there were descriptions of dinosaurs without any illustrations, or any photos of the fossils. I would have liked a lot more of those. Brusatte can glide right through important stuff. He tells us that the Yucutan asteroid crater was found, but not how it was found. So the book was okay as far as it went, but it could have been a lot better.
• I have both the audiobook The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs A New History of a Lost World and hardcover The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs A New History of a Lost World editions. The hardcover edition is perfect to flip though with my small children, looking at the illustrations, charts, and tables, and reading excerpts here and there. The audiobook is perfect for my commute - I can just imagine the fantastic prehistoric animals and landscapes Brusatte paints with his writing. I am enjoying this book thoroughly. I especially appreciate how Brusatte dispenses with "Dinosaur Exceptionalism", instead taking a clear-eyed look at just how little dinosaurs initially differed from other prehistoric animals, then traces their rise and diversification over the ensuing millions of years. Brusatte carries the reader along with easy-to-follow narrative, interspersing accessible analogies and anecdotes to distill and enliven complex material. This book does a great job of placing the minute blip of human existence into the context of the vast swaths of time dominated by species of animals other than our own. I highly recommend this wonderful new book!

• This is another great story from Elliee Atkinson! After a terrible storm hits the small town of Ely, a group of strangers seek refuge...
  
  This is another sweet, clean Western romance from Ms Atkinson that provides a nice escape. Natty Montgomery begins to see her friend Frankie Nye in a new light... and then the storm hits! Here, we have wonderful characters and an exciting story. We have strangers who only want an easy way to earn a living - heaven forbid that they actually have to WORK for it!
  
  With all the different characters thrown together during a storm, who knows what will happen! Read this story to find out more!
  
  Elliee Atkinson is one of my favorite authors to read for romance. I was given an ARC, and I am freely sharing my opinion. I enjoyed the story so much that I have bought a copy to support the author. I am looking forward to more stories from this author!

  Natty and Frankie have been childhood friends in their hometown of Ely. After being such good friends, their feelings take a sudden turn. Frankie is known around Ely for his natural talent with horses. Natty also has a secret talent. She knows how to understand the weather and her feeling is that a big storm is coming with bad floods. Clay and his group work for Walt and Marge Cooke. Marge was a very unhappy person who felt that what others had, she was entitled to have. Marge was a mean and hateful person. When rains and floods came, Natty and Frankie were caught in the resulting disaster. This story tells how Natty and Frankie get home only to have another disaster awaiting them, the Cooke’s and their ranch hands. The disaster turns into something no one expects. Great book!
• The Gifted Bride for the Horse Whisperer by Elliee Atkinson has everything you could want in a story – romance, intrigue, danger and the unexpected! When an outlaw falls for a picture and then has the opportunity to kidnap her from the man she loves there comes an adventure that you wouldn’t want to miss. Will the man she loves come to claim her back or will the outlaw win her love? This is a story I enjoyed reading from the first page to the last. It kept me wondering what will happen. I recommend this book to anyone and especially to those that have been reading the Fortune in Ely Series!
• This is another tale from the little town of Ely and follows Frankie and Natalie’s story. Frankie is gifted with horses and appears to be able to understand them. Natalie also has a gift for sensing bad weather or events. Natty finds she feels more for Frankie than just the friendship of her friends’ brother. When a terrible storm hits Ely and some strangers arrive in the middle of the night during the storm Natty and Frankie realise their feelings are much more than friendship.

• Really enjoyed this story, it has great characters and a storyline that is well written and developed. It has action, adventure, love, faith, family and redemption. We are reintroduced to Frankie and Natty who have been friends all their lives, but something change and they realize that want more than friendship. While out one day they get caught in a flood and later she is kidnapped but he comes to her rescue. This a great series and waiting on the next story. Recieved an advanced reader copy from the author and voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
• I think I have read all of the books in this series and this one is no disappointment! Each one is a stand alone and I like how there is always a bit of a tie in to some of the other characters from Ely. Elliee always does a great job of introducing and developing the characters in her stories. You feel like you can picture them and know them when you see them if such a thing was possible. This story is about Natty Montgomery and Frankie Nye. A well written and good story line book! A good clean read with adventures, action, and a twist or 2!
• Natty and Frankie have been friends since they were little. Could fate have more in store for this couple? And waht dangers lukr on the horizon?
  
  I found this story enjoyable and the characters well written. I like Ms. Atkinson's stories as they also give insight into life in small-town America in the early 20th century. I am looking forward to the next instalment in this series.

• 99 Financial Terms Every Beginner, Entrepreneur & Business Should Know by Thomas Herold is a list of 99 terms with definitions and detailed explanations that will help anyone who is dealing with financial situations in either a business or in investing. The definitions and explanations do a great job of letting the reader know exactly what it is that they need to understand in order to be able to comprehend what is taking place financially within a business or operation. The terms the author chose to define are relevant to what is being used today in both the business world and online. Crypto currency is covered as well as traditional ways of investing both in person and online.
  The book was very informative and did a good job of giving the basic information that the reader needs to understand what is going on in their business or when they are investing. My only issue I have with this is that it is fairly specific to a certain audience. If a person is not running a business or heavily involved in investing, then most of this will not apply to them. Not that it is not helpful information, but it won't have as much meaning as it would to others. Overall, very good but not for everyone.
• I've been trying to read financial books lately because one, I would like to break-free from my usual fiction dose sometimes, and two, I would like to learn more tips and tricks on how to gain that ever-elusive financial freedom. I found some books that are helpful, albeit expensive ones until I am reminded that hey, has a lot in store for you.
  
  So, true to its title, 99 Financial Terms is a sort of an index of all the financial terms an entrepreneur, small business owner or an investor should know. I am not one of these, so I am trying to decide which one I should be so I'd be able to use the new knowledge I acquired after reading this book. Should I engage myself in crypto currency? How about be a financial advisor? I mean, this book is absolutely great, there's no doubt about it. But unless you're someone who has a small business going on or you're a stock market trader, this is something that you might not need. But there's a lot of information in this book, that's for sure. So to all small business owners (online selling is so on trend in the Philippines right now), I suggest you read this so you know what BIR (IRS in the US) is up to.

  It's a brave new world when it comes to finance and this book highlights how out of touch with the current financial pulse worldwide most people are. Herold puts it out there is a succinct "Formal term name, Acronym, Definition, Real world application" style that is easy to understand and enormously informative for anyone from stay at home moms taking over the household finances to entrepreneurs seeing their small home business grow into multi-million dollar companies. Even if you think you know the basics, I would suggest reading this anyway because chances are, you don't know everything you think you do and you are probably wrong about half of what you think you know. At least that was my personal experience. I found that while I understood the foundation of things, I was clueless as to the layers of complexity that can be revealed. Overall, a very well done, informative financial building block.
• With the Blockchain technology entering the financial markets, most Financial books or dictionaries have become more or less obsolete, since they do not include any of the terms related to it. I found this compilation of terms –and their significance- very helpful for anyone; especially those in the desire of opening a new business or having a career in the Finance Field.
  
  Moreover, some of the terms need to be understood by the majority of the people, regarding their profession; terms related to bank credits, house mortgages, etc. While one may assume that everyone knows what a “wire transfer” is, actually most people have a vague idea of concepts similar to this but d not fully comprehend them. The explanations are super user-friendly. I would’ve expected an index, a prologue or a conclusion of some sort. Other than that, I found it very helpful.
• 99 financial terms every beginner, entrepreneur and business should know (financial IQ series book 1) by Thomas Herold is great explanation common financial terms like net income, earnings before interest, tax depreciation, amortization, generally accepted accounting principles, earnings per share. I don’t understand much of the financial jargon or investment concepts but found this book is highly informative and easy to read. It gives you a heads up on managing finances and presents worlds of finance, explains how you can improve your business. There are many books about finances, investing and owning your own business on the market. This one is my recommendation for you. It’s only 211 pages but so helpful. So if you need to change your financial life or business then this book will lead you to another level of understanding, empower you to budget, help to safe. Enjoy and grow your finances!
